This month's Liverpool Transition Towns monthly 'Transition Cafe' event on 8th February will be on renewable energy.
David White ACA, MSc who is a Renewable Energy (Centre for Alternative Technology) Energy efficiency and renewable energy advisor will be talking about 'Domestic energy efficiency and renewables - what works and how to pay for it'. His talk includes information on the New Green Energy Deal, free and low cost energy efficiency measures, along with current sources of funding ahead of the Green Deal coming in, and the renewable energy incentive schemes.

Members of Liverpool Guitar Society - a local, inclusive collective of like minded classical guitar players of varying ages and experience - will perform solos, guitar quartets and as a full guitar orchestra. A wide range of classical guitar standards will be performed along with ensemble pieces by Praetorius; Bach; Handel; Debussy; Khatachurian; Stepan Rak and Metallica!

Timepiece is a Dixieland style jazz band playing tunes from the deep south. The group first got together in a small house that had in the past belonged to a watchmaker. Wayfarers Barbershop chorus is based in Southport, and likes nothing better than to sing four part acapella harmonies of songs you will know and love.
Come along and listen to some good ole foot-stomping tunes, and rich harmonies.

As one of the North Wests finest Big Bands Swingshift and their musical director Phil Shotton have a packed out schedule for 2012 performing with some of the greats of British Jazz. The extremely talented harmony singing group Sisters Unlimited are coming to Liverpool in April to run a series of workshops, and to perform at an evening concert.
Afternoon - Song and Dance workshops run by the members of Sisters Unlimited;
Evening at 7pm - concert with Sisters Unlimited and supporting performers.
Sisters Unlimited are Sandra Kerr, Janet Russell, Peta Webb and Rosie Davies. They are four fantastic female vocalists who have had tremendous performance and recording careers as soloists, with a variety of other performers, and together as Sisters Unlimited.
This will be a great day for anyone who likes singing, dance and acoustic music. Reasonably priced refreshments will be on sale at the venue throughout the event.

* 4pm - 5pm Peta and Sandra in a discussion about women's song
* 4pm - 5pm Rosie and Janet lead a dance workshop, maybe some singing too!

a choirs' concert where choirs who attend the event will sing for each other and the audience who attend; or a sing around where people staying for the evening entertain each other;
